• If you are having trouble logging in, use the new link in the sidebar labeled Alternate Login Page.
Sorry this problem is taking so long to get resolved.
    Thanks,

  • Good morning...
I just wanted to give you a heads up about a possible outage in the near future due to software version changes at my web host. So if you come to the site and it's down, don't panic. I'll have it back up as quickly as possible.

  • Time test...don't forget to spring forward.

  • Time test...don't forget to turn your clocks back folks.

  • Thank you Char, Mel, and Infamousyeti for the birthday wishes. I had a really nice day and now I'm looking forward to the weekend.

  • Hi All...

I've had several requests to make the ”Post Message” button bold since it's a little hard to see. I just finished making that change, so if you don't see a difference you may need to hit the refresh icon at the top of your browser.

  • As I mentioned to Doreen, I’ve added a birthday feature to the chatroom.

On your profile page you can add your birth date (no year necessary). On your birthday it will show your avatar in the sidebar and wish you a Happy Birthday…and hopefully others will too.

  • @doreen366ml ...you caught me! I was testing it out on the AC board before I rolled it out to the other boards. I just now added it to Jewelry. On your birthday it will show your avatar and wish you a Happy Birthday, and hopefully others will too.

  • @doreen366ml ...Doreen, Leon is correct that you have the incorrect URL in your profile since yours doesn't include your eBay username. I'm not an eBay expert, but from what I can tell, the best way to grab the correct link for your auctions is as follows:

    1. Go to one of your auctions.
    2. Click on your username link in the upper-right.
    3. This brings up your eBay My World page. Click on the link labeled "Items For Sale" on the lower-left side of the page.
    4. This brings up your auctions. Highlight the URL at the top and then use Cntl + c to copy it.
    5. Go back to your profile on this board and update it with the new URL.

There might be a better way to get the correct URL, but this method should work for you.

Hope this helps, and good luck...eBay sure doesn't make it easy!

  • @doreen366ml Yes, you do need to register on each site.

  • @vintagememories and @glitz …I encourage everyone to put the links to their auctions, stores, etc. in their profile where anyone can find it when they need to. The instructions for updating your profile and for viewing another member’s profile can be found at the bottom of the How-To Manual. In short though, you have 3 profile fields where you can add links. There’s one for your eBay auctions, one for your eBay me page, and there is an ”About Me” field where you can include as many links as you’d like.

    Hope this answers your question.

  • Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing well.
I’ve added instructions to the How-To Manual for updating your profile, and also for viewing another member’s profile. The member profile is where you can find the link to someone's eBay auctions. Both sets of instructions are at the very bottom of the How-To page.
As always, if you have any questions for me, send me an email.

  • The Jewelry Chatroom Board is now officially open! Use the ”create an account” link (upper-right) to get started. Refer to the first section in the ”How To” Manual for step-by-step instructions. During registration be sure to look for the confirmation email. Until you click the link in that email your registration is not complete and you won’t be able to log in.

There is lots of room in the sidebar, so if you have any jewelry-related links that you think others would find useful, please let me know.

The url is not the easiest to remember, so I highly recommend that you bookmark it or send yourself an email with the link. While you don’t need to be logged in to view the posts, you do have to log in to post and to take advantage of the ”Message” feature. If you plan to be a regular on this site, then I highly recommend that you read the ”How To” Manual. Please read the Guidelines for the rules of conduct and especially read the section on ”flagging” posts.

I’m open to suggestions for improving the site, so send them along.
