• Good morning joolies - we've got cold weather -35 for the past few days but now it's warming up only -15 - my neighbour took his snowblower and cleared my driveway. Yeah! Bee - you have to sign up to each chat room to get into it - a bit of a bother but at least you can visit other boards although you have to login on each board when you want to post. Marson

  • LEON - my sympathy on the loss of your nephew - sounds like it's been quite the battle - take time for some rest for yourself & your princess. Marson

  • In this heat I leftout the name - GLITZ ...waving back & you.

  • Sorry you & your fiance & now your dog are going through the mill. Hope everything & everyone is straightened out soon & feeling better. Helen - we could use some of that rain here. We're breaking heat temperatures here (not as hot as some areas in the states but for us it's hot). I usually get plants throughout the summer at 1/2 price - this year they waited till about a week ago to put them on sale - well, the plants are overgrown & rootbound and with this heat, I don't feel like planting and then constantly watering till they get settled. Maybe in fall I'll get some perennials to put in. All the best to the joolies.... Marson

  • LEON - glad to hear you received positive test results. From what I hear, shingles can be very painful. All the best to MsP & hope she's back to normal soon. Thanks for the info - I guess for 25 cents each for the rings, I'll wear them with pride. Wishing the joolies a good day. Maron

  • Good morning joolies - yup 'getting old is not for sissies' - us oldsters have to stick together & hold each other up. Just popping over from the glass board with a question: picked up two gold coloured rings and inside they had a mark 333 and one ring had the additional mark 0.005 on it.
Does it mean anything? are they gold or ?? Thanks...... Marson

  • Hello joolies. Shelly - I bought a few items at the thrift only to come home and notice some of them smelled with perfume. Hung it out in the garage and thought that a week or so in cold temperatures (remember I'm up north with the snow) would take care of the matter. The scent lingered - put it back out for another week and that helped a bit. I've also been known to hang them outdoors when there's a breeze to help the airing out process. Or you might try the Fabreeze again - every few days or perhaps put it in a trunk or box and spray over it - or even put in some charcoal (in a little cloth bag to protect it from getting item dirty) or even a container of some baking soda and leave for a few days and then let it air out in the fresh air. Surprising how some smells/scents permeate. Marson

  • Hi Shelly - good to see you - I usually just lurk! See somebody is 39 again

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAT

Passing around chocolates to the joolies - did you have cake Pat? Hi Leon, Char & Silvergirl, & Glitz & my old pal Becca (not that she's old, just from old time ago) Haven't see quite a few others & miss them even though I just lurk. Marson
