Good morning. Looks like this board has died since there's very few that post here. I know, I haven't been around much either. Guess life has gotten busy for everyone.
Shelly, I was going to ask you about ebay but I now see what your thinking. I sold a jacket on there last month. First time I tried it in a couple of years. Was thinking of starting up again but don't like all the new rules. It always was more for the buyer then seller and seems even worst now. I still have tons I'ld like to sell but when I check things seems like the prices are way down. If I want to give it away I can do that at a sale. Oh well I'll be trying some things again soon. I don't drive anymore so have to depend on hubby togo to the post office. He says he doesn't mind.
Ok, think I'll go look a few things up and decide what to do for now.
Take care all and Happy New Year. -

Good afternoon. Shelly, most of my cameos are put were I can't get to them easy but will try to get 1 or 2 out. You can put yours on and I'll see if I can help you with them. Finished listing for the day and now need to take a much needed nap. BBL

Hi Leon, I agree that everything is slower then it used to be, including me. LOL I'm going to try ebay again and see what happens. I know one thing and that's you only get about 1/2 of what things used to go for. I did have a yard sale a few months back and Yes, it wasn't what it used to be.
I read about your son and hope he is getting better every day. Seems to take longer as we age.....:o)
I'm headed out for now. Hubby has a doctors appointment today and I need to do some work around here. Have a nice day everyone.

Hi Shelly, since I'm back to listing I'll stop in here to see if I can answer any questions. LOL Looks like this board has been empty for some time tho. As for your cameos....the pin test is still the best way. Do it on the back somewhere so it won't ruin the item. I also collect cameos and have a lot. Don't care if they're real if you like them. I have sold some of my gold ones when ebay was good since I never wear them anymore. Off to bed..good night.

Hi everyone. Really empty board lately but since jewels don't seem to be selling no need to ask any questions. LOL Wonder if things will pick up soon?
Hope everyone is well and just to busy to post. Have a nice evening.

Hi joolies.
Katie the first one doesn't look like good quailty but the second one is nicer. No names on either? Jewels just don't seem to be selling anymore. I have a nice pair of Coro earrings but after looking on ebay decided not to even list them. I can see them at a YS for more then they're selling on ebay.
Hope everyone here is healthy and good.

Hi, just had to jump in and comment on Pat's post about things that don't sell good anymore. I've got over 50 Hummels and at one time sold some for good money($600) but not anymore. Had everything else she mentions at one time or another but did sell them off. LOL
Jo, I still have lots of the paperweights I was collecting years ago. Sold some of the best ones when I would get them tho.
I always liked Kincade painting but never had one. I did own some puzzles but once I did them I sold them. I think his stuff will bring some good prices for a few weeks right now.
Leon, I hope you can find something to give you some releaf from the shingles. I've heard they hurt like heck..:o(

Hi Pat, Leon, Mel Glitz and anyone else poping in. I listed some jewelry on ebay last week and it just sat there. Is anyone having any luck selling jewels on ebay lately?

Doreen, I just left you a message on the pottery board. Made in N.Carolina from 1947-1973. Mid Century modern should be in your title.

Hi everyone! Hoping someone can help me with this piece. I can't for the life of me remeber what they call the background on this necklace. I think it's enameling but there was a name for the squiggy look.

Thanks for any help. BBL since I know peeps are in and out here.Char

Pat, LOL on your 5:09 post.....Isn't that the truth. I think pearls even look good when wearing jeans. I think I sold all mine after not wearing them for a long time. I still have my gold ball necklace that reminds me of graduated pearls except they are gold and not pearls. I never wear it anymore either. I don't wear much jewelry at all anymore.
Glitz, you are right about the older stuff being made well and with knots in between the faux pearls.

Good evening everyone.
Rhonda, looks like your pearls are knotted in between each one. They usually don't take the time to do that with fakes. And the clasp looks like an old style and maybe is silver with crystals. If they're gritty on the teeth is the best way to test them. Since the style looks older I don't think they're fake. JMO

Good morning.
Pat, I think someone added that piece of quartz to the necklace. Are the pearls real pearls? I think the necklace is too small for that large piece of quartz. Sorry, but never saw that silver mark. Since it doesn't say sterling do you think it is sterling? I've seen things just marked silver that are German silver which really isn't sterling silver. JMHO

Good afternoon everyone!
Shelly, I've bought 2 Mavicas. When they first came out and I had started on ebay I paid $400 for my first one. Then just before they quit making them I bought one for $200 and sold the 1st. one for that price. I still have everything but didn't know about a external floppy drive so when I got this computer I ended up with a Canon, Kodak and now my Sony cyber shot. I love my Sony and only paid $70 for it when Target was getting their new ones in. It takes great close ups too. Don't be spending too much on things for that camera, but if you can get stuff cheap it will be worth it. Hope you're over the crud and hubby is better. I'm feeling better but hurt every day. Hubby will have one eye done in March.Pat, that is a beautiful pin. It looks like you could take the chain off and have 2 pins. The weight of the sterling is worth starting it for $39.99 I would think.

Good afternoon everyone.
Shelly, I still have my Sony mavica camera that I started with when I started ebay. My pics were wonderful with it but this computer didn't have a floppy and no one told me about an external one. I now use a Sony Cyber Sot with 12.3 mega pixels. It's really easy. make sure when you buy the floppy disc for your camera you get sony ones. I tried cheap ones and they didn't work as well. JMO

Good afternoon to anyone here. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PAT!!!!!
Shelly, the plane you showed says "tranporter" on the bottom of the bag. Since the planes have props they're not jets so probably older models. Sorry, I can't help more. We used to have someone on the ebay toy board that knew a lot about puzzles but no way to find them...:o( Hope the Dr. can give you something to make you feel better quick. Daug. had it 2 weeks ago and it took 5 days of meds before she was better. Try to get some rest.
Doreen, you have more energy then me taking care of that many horses. Not sure how you find time to do anything else.

Off for the night. Good night all.

Hi everyone! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEL.
Shelly, thanks for asking. Daug, doesn't need chemo or radiation since they took the whole thing out. Hubby won't have his first eye done until March. I start going to the Drs. on Tuesday. Always something around here. LOL
Fran, when you polish the bracelet don't try getting it all shiney. I use a toothbrush with a cream polish and wash it with dish soap afterwards. It still will have some patina but the stones will show up a lot nicer.
I'm off to the sofa to see what's on TV but think I'll fall asleep while trying to watch whatever. LOL
Nite all.

Hi everyone.
Doreen, I think your hippie beatnik item can be called a tidbit tray. No place to hold the cirg. and lots of peeps are against smoking so think listing it as a tidbit tray or something other then an ashtray will help. JMO

Shelly, I have 2 bracelets with that clasp. I think both were made in India and not antique old. As for age maybe in the past 30 yrs. or so.
